According to the latest rumors, Marvel Studios wants to make a stand-alone film about Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch.
Since the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in May 2022, there have been numerous rumors about the possibility that Marvel Studios is developing a stand-alone film dedicated to the character of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen in MCU.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, however, these rumors are more than simple indiscretions; it seems that the studios are actually developing a project about Wanda to make a film for the cinema, and are even considering Jac Schaeffer (head screenwriter of WandaVision and Agatha: Darkhold Diaries ) to write and direct it. No official confirmation at the moment.
Elizabeth Olsen doesn’t know when she’ll return to the role of Scarlet Witch: “I don’t miss it, I need a break”
Elizabeth Olsen returned to talk about her future in the MCU, also revealing that she doesn’t miss Scarlet Witch. Responding to a question about Marvel and the possibility of her appearing in the Agatha: Darkhold Diaries series, the actress explained: “I’m not returning. I’m not currently doing anything for Marvel. “
Wanda’s interpreter recalled: “It’s not because I don’t want to say it. They’ll tell me something when they want to do it. I have no idea when it will happen. ” However, Elizabeth added: “Do I miss it? No, I don’t miss it. I had two years in a row where I was busy with the role, so I think a break is good for me. I need to build other characters, it’s important for me”.
